Freak Encounters
Each wickedly funny episode follows one unwitting participant who thinks they are part of an innocent investigation into some of the world’s most unexplained creatures - from bloodthirsty werewolves and vicious swamp monsters to terrifying giant spiders and angry alien hybrids. In fact, the entire story is a meticulously planned set-up, for which the participant has been nominated for by a friend or family member looking for payback! With the help of a team of actors, the target will think they have been hired for a new job or are helping out on a research project, until they find themselves trapped in a series of increasingly wild and scary moments, building to a full-on encounter. To accompany the action, Freak Encounters will hear from real experts throughout to give viewers a compelling background into the history of these mythical monsters. Using a mixture of hidden camera, documentary-style footage and on-the-fly interviews, Freak Encounters promises a new, unexpectedly daring series - delivering the laughs, the screams and the stories.
